After graduating from Curry College in 1971 with a degree in Communication, Bob MacNeil launched a successful career in broadcast journalism. His varied roles in the industry have included reporter, television anchor, commentator, and news director. Since 1998, Bob has served as News Bureau Chief of Metro/Shadow in Boston, one of 88 bureaus across the nation that supply produced news, traffic, weather, and sports reports to radio and television affiliates. Bob also shares his 30 years of experience with today’s students in his role as a Curry College instructor—an invaluable gift to the college that helped shape his career.
“Curry College offers students a great blend of academic and practical experience. During my years there I got the hands-on broadcast experience I sought, and was exposed to the core liberal arts subjects I knew I would need to be a well-rounded person. Professors were always available for one-on-one help and they cared about me as an individual. I wouldn’t change a thing about my experience at Curry!”
