Milton, MA --
The Communication Department of Curry College is pleased to present a special presentation, "The Digital TV Transition: The Death of Analog" by WUNI-TV General Manager, Alex von Lichtenberg, on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 6:30 pm. The lecture will take place on Curry's Milton Campus located at 1071 Blue Hill Avenue in the Parents' Lounge of the Hafer Academic Building.
The United States Congress decided to officially terminate the broadcast signal to analog television in February 2009. As we near this important and historic date, many consumers are wondering what the digital television transition is all about, and what it means to the televisions they now use in their homes. Mr. von Lichtenberg will explain why the transition to digital television is occurring, how your analog televisions will be affected, and what steps are necessary to continue using your analog television sets.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information, please contact Professor Jerry Gibbs at 617-333-2972.
