Milton, MA -- Longtime Milton resident Brian G. Greeley – former Commander of the State Police Milton Division – has joined Curry College as the new Chief of Public Safety.

“I am very pleased to welcome Brian Greeley as our new Chief of Public Safety,” announced President Kenneth K. Quigley, Jr. “Curry is fortunate to have a first class professional of Chief Greeley’s caliber joining us. I look forward to his leadership of an outstanding, comprehensive Public Safety function at our College, which will greatly benefit our students and the entire Curry community.” 

Chief Greeley recently concluded a 27 year career with the Massachusetts State Police. Prior to his most recent appointment commanding the State Police Milton Division, his other leadership positions include Commander of the South Boston Division, Commander of the State House Division, Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Public Safety for the Commonwealth, Deputy Director of Homeland Security and Assistant Commandant of the Massachusetts State Police Academy. 

Chief Greeley’s undergraduate degree in Criminal Law is from Suffolk University, and his graduate degree in Criminal Justice is from Anna Maria College.  He holds a number of professional certificates, commendations and awards.

As Greeley looks to the opportunities and challenges ahead at Curry College – whose growing campus now includes over 1,800 traditional undergraduate students and 1,400 continuing education and graduate students - he is eager to engage the entire community in his efforts. 

“Public Safety is everyone in the community’s responsibility, and everyone should have a say in creating a safe environment,” remarked Greeley. “I look forward to interacting with the Curry community and creating a shared governance, so that all community members can contribute to their safety and well being.”
