The Curry College faculty recently voted to approve a new undergraduate concentration and parallel continuing education certificate program in Residential Property Management (RPM). Curry will launch the new program in Fall 2005.

“This is yet another significant step forward for Curry, and gets the College into an entirely new and exciting field—and holds the promise of outside support from a constituency that could become very important to the College,” said Academic Vice President and Dean of Faculty David A. Fedo.

Significant interest in Curry’s program has already been expressed by numerous local and regional leaders in the property management industry, and the program has received the support of the National Apartment Association. With several national property management firms headquartered in the Boston area, and many other major property management firms owning and managing apartment communities in the area, Curry expects a wealth of opportunities for graduates.

Students with an RPM concentration or certificate will have the opportunity to take the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) qualification exam.  Passing the exam earns the student the Certified Apartment Manager designation from the National Apartment Association.  The CAM designation is recognized industry-wide and is a significant credential for a new manager.
