Curry College Theatre Director, Professor D.L. Garren, is pleased to present the premiere of Michael Miceli's Shared Guilt, directed by guest director Michelle Baxter. The production will be held Friday, March 31 through Monday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Little Theater in the Hafer Academic Building on the Milton campus, 1071 Blue Hill Avenue, Milton, MA. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the door.
The play, Shared Guilt, was written by Curry College senior, Michael Miceli. Shared Guilt first appeared as a scene in the Spring 2005 theatre Finale, the event that ends the Theatre semester as all of the performance classes present their work to each other. Michael first started the play in his Scriptwriting class, taught by Curry professor Michelle Gabow. He continued the play in Advanced Scriptwriting where he expanded his scene into a full play. Michael is a senior from Fairfield, CT. He is majoring in English, with a minor in Theatre.
As Director of Performing Arts & Outreach and Manager of the Strand Theater, Michelle Baxter is responsible for all of Boston's major public arts festivals throughout the year. Ms. Baxter has been a community activist, cultural program director, theater director and actor in Boston for the last 22 years. Her goal is to use the arts as a way to create dialogue, cross-cultural exchanges and greater communication among and between different racial/ethnic and cultural communities of Boston.
Ms. Baxter also serves as the Artistic Director of Hysterical Performance, a theater company that seeks to unite multiracial, multiethnic, intergenerational women in a collaborative effort aimed at the production and exhibition of mix media artwork and performance. She has extensive experience as an actor and director for the stage.
The cast and crew of the play also include Samantha Crescitelli (stage manager), Jennifer Fogarty (Grace Marrow), Marissa Kiley (Casey), Brian Mason (Cross), Patrick Naughton (David), Benjamin Santos (The Guard), Alicia Viscomi (Selina) and Andrew Wiley (The Voice), John Barrett (technical director) and Sean Nagata who is running the lights.
