Curry College requires all PCs connecting to the campus network to have up to date anti-virus software installed and running. The campus network recognizes 15 different brands of anti-virus software. We recommend configuring the anti-virus software to update daily and to scan the PC at least once a week.
-
The College has purchased a site license for McAfee virus scan that covers all resident students at no additional charge. Once on campus, if you need a valid license contact the Technology Center to obtain a copy.
-
All computers running Windows must have all Microsoft Critical and Security updates installed.
The College recommends performing the following on your PC:
-
Back up your PC and all critical data before doing any upgrades
-
-
Have the System Recovery CDs that came with the PC in the event of a problem
-
Ensure you have a legally installed version of Windows XP on your PC
