How do I use the Internet in my job search?
The Internet has changed job searching and made it easier for you to find industry resources, company information, job postings and career advice. While it’s amazing what you can find on the Internet, it’s important to be fairly targeted when surfing the web, as you can easily get lost (or overwhelmed) with all of the information available.
The Internet can be helpful to you in several different ways, including:
Researching industries, job titles, career tracks, and specific companies
Checking company websites (a great source for finding jobs)
Registering with national and regional job search sites
Investigating local professional associations for job fairs, meetings and member lists
Below is a sample list of the many websites available to assist you in career exploration. As websites and resources are constantly changing this is not an exhaustive list but merely a place to begin.
