Why should my organization consider working with Curry College students?
By partnering with the Office of Career Services, you gain access to a pool of bright, motivated and eager students who are ready to make a contribution to your business. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and ranges of experience, and are involved in majors from business management to criminal justice.
How can my business be involved?
By providing internship opportunities. Experiential Education is built into our curriculum and is a highly valued component of a Curry education. Curry has a well–structured and defined internship program where students earn credit for their experience, under the supervision of a faculty advisor. Students work with the site supervisor to confirm responsibilities and identify appropriate learning goals.
By participating in our Employer Outreach programs. During the course of the year, we ask local employers to come to our campus to speak with students about their field and to offer insights about what it is really like to enter and work in particular industries. Some opportunities include:
- Career Discovery Week
An annual spring event which includes a networking day where over 200 students meet local employers.
- Job Shadowing and Informational Interviews
These two opportunities allow students to individually explore different careers off campus. New sites are always welcome!
- "Curry Business Trip"
Extend an invitation to a small group of students to your workplace for a tour and question/answer session. Your insights provide valuable exposure to the "real world."
- Mock Interviews, Résumé Critiques and Presentations
We rely on our relationships with employers to help us to keep our students up-to-date on the latest recruitment trends and hiring practices so they are better prepared when entering the workforce.
- By recruiting Curry students
Our students utilize the Office of Career Services to find full-time, part-time and summer employment. We can offer you the opportunity to interview students on campus, to act as a résumé drop, or to post positions in our office.
