The eight-course Gerontology Certificate Program prepares students for care-taking and administrative positions working with and for the elderly. Knowledge and skills are developed to help students advance in the workplace or through graduate studies. Students who successfully complete all required courses may obtain a Certificate in Gerontology, in accordance with guidelines established by the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education. Administered through the Psychology Department, interested students who major in Psychology may use these courses as part of a Concentration in Gerontology.
