The Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program is offered with the working adult in mind. You may take courses during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Typically the semester is 12 weeks long and courses meet one night a week from 5:30-8:30 p.m. One or two-week intensive courses are also offered at various times throughout the year, especially during the Winter Intersession in early January.
The optimum completion time for the Master of Arts in Criminal Justice degree is two years. You should allow at least a two year time period from the beginning of your first class until your graduation. Some students will take longer than two years to complete the program if they do not take two courses a semester, miss a semester, or do not take summer or winter classes. All core courses are offered on the Milton and Plymouth campuses at least once a year. If you miss a core course when it is offered, you will (1) either have to wait until the next time the course is offered on that campus or (2) travel to another Curry College campus to take the course. Those students who enroll in the program in order to qualify for Quinn Bill funds need to carefully plan their course of study if their goal is to meet those deadlines.
Students and prospective students who wish to make an appointment with an academic advisor may make arrangements to see someone at any campus location by calling the Plymouth campus at (508) 747-2424 or the main Graduate Studies Office in Milton at (617) 333-2243.
