Course Scheduling and Cohort Learning

Course Scheduling
The MSN program was designed with the busy adult student in mind.  We know how much you juggle every day.  Classes are held once a week, during the day, for five semesters.  Each semester is 15 weeks long.  In the fall, classes start in early September and go through December.  Spring semester runs from late January through early May.  You will be in class from early in the morning until late in the afternoon, but all of your classes will be on that same day of the week, thus allowing you to adjust your work and travel schedules accordingly.

The Division of Continuing and Graduate Studies publishes a schedule guide prior to the Fall and Spring semesters.  This brochure contains the detailed course schedules and information about registration, tuition and fees, policies and procedures regarding payment, and other important procedural information.

Cohort Study
As a student in the Curry College MSN Program, you will be part of a cohort group.  That means that the same students will be in all of your classes for the entire program, start to finish.  Cohort group learning has proven to be very effective for adult learners because it creates a community of professionals who can study together, provide support, discuss common on-the-job problems, and offer networking opportunities.
