WELCOME NEW PAL STUDENTS!
All new first-year students will check-in on August 27. Be sure to read the information mailed home and posted on the Admission Webpage for details. There will be a Parent Question & Answer session at 1 pm August 27 in the PAL AT Center
New PAL students should come to the PAL building on Monday, August 30, any time between Noon and 4 pm, when you are not in class, for a brief orientation meeting with your individual PAL professor. Bring your class schedule to PAL so you can also set up your next PAL meeting time.
Classes begin at 12:30 pm on August 30 for all students.
Returning PAL students check-in on August 29 and should come to PAL on Tues. August 31 or Wed. Sept. 1, when your scheduloe permits, to set up a PAL schedule.lease contact PAL@Curry.edu with questions.

You should be able to order most of your college texts through RFB&D, however, if material is unavailable through RFB&D, please check with Laura Sabadini in the AT Center (AsstTech@Curry.eduor 617-333-2262) for help locating alternate source audio-recordings or obtaining electronic text for use with Kurzweil. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT EXTENDED TIME EXAMS
- PAL staff proctor extended time exams as well as exams requiring approved accommodations which cannot be provided in the classroom, e.g. use of Kurzweil program. PAL staff are regularly scheduled from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 to 4:00 Friday.
- We suggest that students have a conversation with the professor about the type of test or quiz to be given so that students can make an informed decision about the best accommodations for individual situations.
- For test sessions between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, requests must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance; for test sessions starting after 4:00 PM, requests must be made at least 96 hours (4 days) in advance.
- Additionally, a student wishing to utilize PAL for test accommodations must tell his or her professor at least one class period in advance of the test or quiz.
