The Levin Library at Curry College is a selective depository for documents published by the government of the United States. Free public access to depository documents is assured by federal law. Documents which have been cataloged and added to the main collection are listed in the Library's online catalog.
Uncataloged documents are shelved in the documents area of the Quiet Study section on the Main Floor. U.S. government documents are shelved according to their Superintendent of Documents Classification number (SuDocs Number). The department offers a wide variety of materials in such areas as census, demographics, the economy, the environment, government, education, health, labor, statistics, trade, and much more.
Government agencies are now putting substantial amounts of information on the Web, including reports, statistics, tax information, and articles. We have listed several sites that are helpful when searching for specific government documents. Ask any librarian for assistance if you are having difficulty.
