AC 1000 Proficiency Exam
If you are proficient with the Internet and Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Office 2007), you may be interested in taking a proficiency exam.
AC 1000 Proficiency exam guidelines
Exam will use Microsoft Office 2007
Key things to note:
- Passing score on proficiency exam fulfills CLAC requirement for AC 1000.
- Pass earns 3 credits that are counted toward graduation.
- You need a grade of 70 or higher on each part of the exam to pass.
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint exams are hands-on computer based.
- Internet exam is a 25-question multiple choice and true/false written exam.
- Give yourself about two hours to complete the four sections of the exam.
- The proficiency can be taken once. If you don’t pass, you will need to take the course.
- Passing grade appears on your transcript as a “PP” and does not affect GPA.
