A large part of communications revolves around specific professional industries and at Curry, we offer students the choice of pursuing a general Communication major or studying a professional area in more detail, something we call "concentrations."
Today, Curry offers eight specific concentrations: Film, Multimedia Journalism, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Radio Broadcasting/Audio Production, Relational Communication , Television/Digital Video and Theatre. In addition, an Individual Initiated Concentration allows students to create their own program of study.
Some of the career options include: Radio disc jockey, digital media content producer, television reporter, company spokesperson, film director, scriptwriter, actor, television producer, public relations director, sports play-by-play, editor, copywriter, speechwriter, sales manager, production assistant, station manager, audio engineer, lighting director, event planner, master control operator, etc.
