Students interested in film can learn hands-on film production from professional filmmakers through a series of one-credit independent studio courses. Students can study 16mm Film Production, Film Directing, Acting for the Screen, Writing for Film, and more.
The courses are offered through the Curry College Film Studies Concentration, working with FilmShack, Inc. and the Boston Educational Film and Video Foundation.

Independent Studio:
* COM 4050 Independent Studio courses include student-initiated projects (with support from the Film Concentration coordinator) and new hands-on film production courses. These courses include: 16 MM film production, lighting, sound, directing and screenwriting with Curry's partnership with Boston-based FilmShack, and the Boston Educational Film and Video Association.
