Students interested in Public Relations have a rich and diverse field to study.
Public relations encompasses many aspects, but it’s best described as getting positive messages out to various “publics." That may be external communication, like for audiences of TV, newspapers, Twitter or Facebook, or internal communication, like employees or shareholders.
In the end, a public relations professional will wear many hats. On one day, you might be a spokesperson for the company for a media related item, on another day you might be publishing a website newsletter for workers.
Students will learn the theories and practices of Public Relations in hands-on courses and internships that will keep you energized and excited about this career choice! Off-shoots of PR include event planning and marketing campaigns.
