Television/Digital Video

The field of television and video production is exploding with possibilities. Perhaps you have an interest in TV news reporting or maybe you want to direct a Hollywood sitcom. How about streaming video programs on the web or even working in video forensics?

Curry’s television/digital video concentration prepares you for entry-level positions in all aspects of the video industry.

Our television facilities are located in the Hirsh Communication Center, an all-digital video facility.  We have a three-camera 20’ x 40’ TV studio, along with classroom space and digital editing facilities, which include, AVID, Final Cut Pro HD, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.

Skills learned in Hirsh serve as stepping stones for access to one of the best internship programs in New England.  Our students have interned at places like: MTV, ESPN, local Boston and Providence affiliates, and even Hollywood production studios.

Your course of study may also include trips to New York and Los Angeles to see TV and film productions in action and meet with media professionals.
