"The Currier Times", the bi-weekly newspaper for Curry College, is now available online.
The print edition of the newspaper has long been the voice of record for the Curry community. The paper is entirely student-run, with Journalism and Communication professor James Matte its faculty advisor.
The Communication Department is also excited about the future for the newspaper. Plans are now underway to move the newspaper's offices to the new Student Center where students will work in a state-of-the-art newsroom.
"We are in the process of creating a journalism program that is truly multimedia-based," said Prof. Jerry Gibbs, acting co-chair of the department. "The journalist of tomorrow must be an expert in print, online, audio and video interactivity. Curry is well-positioned to give the budding student-journalist those skill sets."
