Assistant Professor of Communication Kirk Hazlett, APR, has received the Publicity Club of New England’s “John J. Molloy Crystal Bell for Lifetime Achievement.” Professor Hazlett was presented this prestigious award, which has been recognizing New England communications veterans for more than 25 years, at the Publicity Club’s 40th Annual Bell Ringer Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 1.
In their remarks during Professor Hazlett's introduction, award nominators Barbara Wellnitz, APR, Fellow PRSA, and Ann Getman, APR, noted: “Kirk has been a public relations professional for more than three decades and he has shared his enthusiasm and commitment with hundreds of future practitioners in his multiple roles of practicing professional and long-serving liaison for various Public Relations Student Society of America chapters in the Boston area. He has committed countless hours of time to starting up PR student association chapters at Simmons, Bentley, and Curry colleges, and to mentoring students who are members of those chapters as well.”
