The New England premiere of "The Peanute Galleria" took place at Curry College during the last weekend of April. For Peanute's playwright, Steve Longmuir, it was also a chance to see his play performed just miles from where he spent his college years, at Brandeis University.
Set in a Gardner-type museum, "The Peanute Galleria" is a comedy of errors wrapped in the age old question of what constitutes art.
Longmuir flew in from Los Angeles, where he works as an actor and screenwriter, to watch the final night's production. Afterwards, he took audience questions talking about everything from life in Hollywood to what it's like seeing your play being performed on stage.
He encouraged the students to take chances and challenge themselves to go beyond the average.
