Students interested in working with and teaching young children aged birth to aged five should pursue a concentration in Early Care and Education. Students can prepare for future careers in programs for young children such as infant, toddler, or preschool aged children in childcare settings, and nursery/preschool programs. The Early Care and Education concentration emphasizes developmentally appropriate curriculum planning, leadership and administration of programs for young children and the importance of working with children within the context of the family.
