The music minor is made up of a collection of courses that may include the study of music and the doing of music, both intimately connected to each other. Students may choose private music instruction in piano, guitar, voice and improvisation, repeatable for credit, and participation in the Chamber Chorale. Courses in jazz, popular, theatrical, classical and international music provide rich opportunities to study a variety of musical styles and traditions. There are performance opportunities, sometimes among student peers and sometimes open to the entire college and larger community, each semester. The music faculty enjoys a close relationship with students new to music and with those who are coming to Curry with a music background.
