The music minor is made up of a collection of courses that may include the study of music and the doing of music, both intimately connected to each other. Students may choose private music instruction in piano, guitar, voice, and improvisation; all are repeatable for credit. Courses in jazz, popular, theatrical, classical and international music provide rich opportunities to study a variety of musical styles and traditions. Each semester there are performance opportunities, sometimes among student peers and sometimes open to the entire college and larger community. The music faculty enjoys a close relationship with students new to music, as well as, those who are coming to Curry with a music background.
