Since the United States is now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations, and people of Hispanic descent are its fastest growing minority, we frequently find that we live and work with American citizens whose Spanish language and Hispanic culture can no longer be considered "foreign." Students minoring in Spanish are encouraged to take at least one Spanish culture course and to consider study abroad. Before credits/programs from outside Curry can be accepted toward a minor, they must be discussed with the area coordinator. At least two 3000-level courses must be successfully completed at Curry College.
Note: Students attaining an intermediate level score in a foreign language on the College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), or a proficiency exam may receive a maximum of 3 credits.
