A recent agreement between Curry College and the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) paves the way for Curry graduates to enter the post-graduate certificate program at BIDMC’s School of Nuclear Medicine Technology. BIDMC is a world-class Harvard-affiliated teaching hospital, and nuclear medicine technology is an expanding career field. Opportunities exist to work with patients in a hospital setting and to do research in pharmaceutical companies or academic settings.
According to the agreement, students graduating with a Curry biology major and meeting minimum grade requirements will automatically have the coursework needed to be eligible for the 15-month program. Students who successfully complete the program are then eligible to sit for the national examinations offered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
