Curry science majors can do research at some of the world-class facilities that abound in the greater Boston area, or cross disciplinary boundaries to work with faculty researchers here at Curry.
Last spring's senior research presentations by biology majors Lauren Peresada and Brian Denoncourt showed effective use of both options.
Lauren’s research for her genetic study, “The Importance and General Roles of the N-terminus of Rbf1 in Drosophila malanogaster ” was done at the Mass. General Hospital Cancer Center.
Brian worked with psychology Prof. Bruce Steinberg and biology Prof. Marlene Samuelson on his study of “Mindfulness- Based Stress Reduction, Physiological Measures, and Frontal EEG Activity.”
