Welcome to the website of Division of Nursing at Curry College. Whether you are a prospective student or a prospective faculty member, please explore our Web site to learn more about nursing education at Curry College. The vision of the Division of Nursing faculty is to educate nurses who will practice professional nursing with creativity, compassion and commitment. If you share that vision, Curry College will be the best fit for you to start or advance your nursing career.
Curry offers a traditional four year bachelor’s degree program, an accelerated entry level to nursing program (for those with a BS or BA in another field) and an RN to BS program. The RN to BS program is offerred at our Plymouth campus in addition to our Milton campus. All other undergraduate nursing programs are offerred in Milton.
New to our Division beginning in Fall 2008 is the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) program - our first Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program and the fourth master’s degree program at Curry College. The program is designed to engage nurses in enhancing patient safety and to minimize risks associated with care, and will enable RNs to become certified in the CNL role through AACN. We are very excited about this new program offering.
Now is certainly an appropriate time to consider a career in nursing or to advance your career by seeking a bachelor’s or master's degree in nursing. As you may know, there is currently a serious shortage of nurses and the future demand is expected to continue to grow. In addition, a career in nursing is personally satisfying and rewarding. Nurses have again been named as one of the most trusted professions in the United States.
The 30-year journey of the Curry nursing program has been filled with excitement, growth and new programs. The division continues to search for novel ideas, new programs, and creative methods of teaching and learning. With a current enrollment of almost 600 nursing students, the Division continues to improve program quality and plan for a bright future!
Faculty members in the Division are recognized for their commitment to the education of our students as well as their professional activities. Our students’ achievements are also commendable.
I hope you will visit Curry during one of our open houses or make an appointment with the Admission office to sit in on a class. Talk with our faculty - most of our nursing faculty continue to practice nursing as well as teach it– you’ll find them up to date, clinically knowledgeable and skilled. Talk with our nursing students - you’ll hear about the superb clinical facilities and the individualized attention they receive.
Thank you for visiting the web site. I hope you can visit (in person!) soon!
