Successful Sigma Theta Tau Book Drive
Many used Nursing textbooks were donated to the Winifred J. Harley School of Nursing located in Ganta, Liberia
Members of Theta Chapter-at-Large collected nursing textbooks and journals for the Winifred J. Harley School of Nursing located in Ganta, Liberia. Liberia is a small English speaking country, located on the West coast of Africa. It was established by freed slaves after the US Civil War. After 14 years of civil war, which ended in 2003, Liberia is ranked as one of the ten poorest countries in the world. The Ganta Hospital has recently reopened and the nursing school, located in the capital city of Monrovia during the war, will be moving back to Ganta in July. They desperately need books for the students.
