On Thursday, October 18, the faculty and staff of the nursing program welcomed 80 guests to the 30th anniversary celebration. Attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner and were able to connect or reconnect with colleagues.
The vision of the division of nursing is to educate nurses who will practice professional nursing with creativity, compassion and commitment – our most profound accomplishment is seeing this vision embodied in our graduates as well as our current students. The college and the nursing faculty have touched our students and alumni and they in turn have touched countless numbers of patients, families and communities creating a web of caring throughout the nation and the world. And that is what our past 30 years were all about and that is what was celebrated on October 18. The Division of Nursing has enjoyed 30 years of success in nursing education – now it is on to another 30.
