Dr. Ann Leonard-Zabel Tours Country as Faculty Expert

Curry College Professor Dr. Ann Leonard-ZabelDr. Ann Leonard-Zabel has been touring the country as an expert in School Neuropsychology and enthusiastically bringing back her knowledge and experience to the classroom.  Students with an interest in brain-behavior relationships will be interested to know that Dr. Leonard-Zabel recently presented as one of several keynote speakers at a pre-conference session in Dallas, Texas on the topic, "Treating Child and Adolescent Violence from a School Neuropsychological Perspective" at the Second Annual School Neuropsychology Conference.  Dr. Leonard-Zabel is scheduled to present at the Third Annual School Neuropsychology Conference in July 2008 on the topic, "School Neuropsychology: Legal and Ethical Issues."  As if that weren’t enough, she is currently an author of a book chapter entitled, "Frontal Lobe Dysfunction, Psychopathology and Violence” in the book "The Neuropsychology of Emotional Disturbance" due to be published in the Summer 2008. 

This expertise and cutting-edge research are all brought to life for students in the classroom including courses such as “Neuropsychology of Learning Differences” and "Psychological Testing”.  Dr. Leonard-Zabel is excited to bring her knowledge and vast experiences to the Curry classroom, where she finds Curry students actively involved in programs such as the Substance Abuse Counseling Certificate Program.  Recently, Dr. Leonard-Zabel presented at the America's Promise Conference in Southeastern Massachusetts on the topic "The Hijacked Brain:  How the Addictive Process Can Impact the Pre-Adolescent and Adolescent Brain from a Neuropsychological Perspective."
