Curry graduate and Criminal Justice major John Polcari '98 returned to campus recently to share his experiences in the Wareham Court system.
In describing his job as court officer, he enthusiastically reports, “I love everything about my job; I get to see all walks of life come through the courts and see the justice system in process. The best thing is that I get to see a fair trial and what that means. It’s really something to see a jury of peers in action and to be part of that process. Every day whether it’s murder, rape, juvenile cases, family members with disputes against each other, no matter what, it’s all within a fair trial system.”
John’s advice to all current Curry CJ majors is to make sure to take advantage of internship opportunities!
