The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice welcomes new full-time faculty member Kathleen Currul-Dykeman.
Katie earned her law degree at Suffolk University and worked for eight years in Worcester and Boston as an Assistant District Attorney specializing in sexual assault and domestic violence, advocating for the victims. This fall Katie will be one of Northeastern University ’s first students to graduate from their new Ph.D. program, adding a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice to her law degree.
Students are already benefiting from her teaching experience, as she has taught at Curry part-time for the past six years. Katie exemplifies a wonderful mixture of academia and practitioner, bringing the wisdom of both to the classroom.
