Special Programs

At Curry, you’ll be able to take advantage of numerous special programs that will enhance your learning.  Among them are the following:

Internship Opportunities
Internships are facilitated through the Office of Career Services.  If eligible, you’ll be able to experience the world of work, for academic credit, in a variety of settings, from large television and radio stations to smaller not-for-profit startups.  Supervision is provided by onsite managers and by Curry faculty.  All academic majors may participate.  Here’s a great chance to get a jump-start on your career!

Two Honors Programs
Curry College offers two distinct Honors Programs.  The First Year Honors Program, open to Curry scholarship winners and to students whose high school record demonstrates a capacity for high academic achievement, provides to first year students an opportunity to form a learning community on a core topic with peers, faculty, and student mentors.  The Honors Scholar Program is offered to sophomore, junior, and senior students that ultimately leads to the presentation of an Honor Thesis.  In addition to GPA or departmental honors, Honors Scholars are graduated “With Distinction in the Honors Scholar Program” announced at commencement and inscribed on their diploma.

Study Abroad Opportunities
Explore the world and earn academic credit at an officially approved site in Europe or elsewhere.  You may study abroad for one semester or for one year, and transfer your earned credits back to Curry.  Travel and learning the culture of another country are experiences that will last you a lifetime, and Curry will help you accomplish your international dreams.
