*The Early Decision admission policy of the College is consistent with the guidelines of the College Entrance Examination Board: “Early decision plans are offered only for candidates who are sure of the colleges they will attend if admitted, and whose credentials are such as to make the probability of admission high. Such plans are designed primarily to reduce anxiety for those candidates as early as possible in their senior year; they have the additional advantage of reducing unnecessary multiple applications that otherwise would have to filed by the students, supported by the schools, and considered by the colleges.”
Curry subscribes to a First Choice Plan, which “requires that the candidate certify that the institution to which he/she is applying is his/her first choice and that he/she will accept an offer of admission if it is extended, provided it also includes adequate financial aid if such is needed. A First Choice plan permits the candidate to initiate other applications for admission should this seem advisable, but the candidate must agree to withdraw such applications when notified of acceptance and financial aid, if needed, by his/her first choice college.” Deadline for Early Decision is December 1; decisions are mailed on December 15.
