Association Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts (AICUM)

Kaitlyn O'Connell serves as chief of staff for the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities in Massachusetts (AICUM). In addition to strengthening the existing relationships with AICUM's 60 members, including Curry College, she manages AICUM's affiliate membership program, which offers organizations the opportunity to support Massachusetts higher education. She also coordinates projects and initiatives such as Kids to College, a college introductory program for sixth-graders. Ms. O'Connell plans all of AICUM's events and ensures that AICUM is financially and operationally sound.

Before joining AICUM in May 2006, Ms. O'Connell interned for the Kenneth B. Schwartz Center, a not-for-profit organization that supports compassionate health care. She helped to organize the center's 11th annual dinner for 1,700 attendees.

Ms. O'Connell received her bachelor's degree in communication proudly from Curry College. She is currently a master's degree candidate in public administration with a nonprofit management concentration at Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School.
