Roger Gray, a charter member of the National Alumni Council, has been one of the school's most consistent and generous supporters ever since his graduation in the Spring of 1965. He has made Curry College a priority in his life and brings to the Council a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has played an important role as an alumnus by developing and promoting support of alumni organizations and activities and leading his peers in support of our school through his own example.
While attending Curry Roger distinguished himself by being named to Who's Who in American Schools and Colleges and serving on the Student Senate.
After graduating Roger worked in Sales for several high profile companies including American Photography Equipment Corporation, the Container Corporation of America and IBM. In 1971 he started his own firm named Home Services Inc. which he ran for 22 years. After selling his company Roger began anew with a food distribution business covering the Springfield, Massachusetts and Hartford, Connecticut area called Roger S. Gray Co. which he managed for 9 years.
Roger and his wife Hannah have been married for over 43 years and have two grown children and two grandchildren. They live in Cotuit, Massachusetts where Roger is an avid golfer, fisherman and tennis player. In the Fall of 2006 Roger became a member of the President's Circle of donors continuing his longstanding history of support for Curry. Roger was named the 2007 O'Connor Award recipient at the annual end of season Football banquet. The award is given each year to a distinguished alumni and gentleman of the highest order. Roger is also supportive of his local community as a volunteer at Cape Cod Hospital and member of the Osterville Men's Club.
