Recent Class Notes

1960-1969

James A. Johnson '65 has recently published legal articles in the New Hampshire Bar Journal, Michigan Bar - Insurance Law Section and the New York Bar Association Journal. Jim is a member of the Massachusetts, Michigan, Texas and US Supreme Court bars.

1970-1979

Allan Moulton '70 happily retired in 2005 after 35 years as a Boston teacher. He and his wife, Diane, split their time between New Hampshire and Florida. They enjoy golfing, travelling, outdoor activities and visiting their three granddaughters in Massachusetts.

Vickie Claypole-Anderson '72 and her husband have two daughters, and four grandchildren.  They love the ocean, live by the water, and enjoy hiking.  She worked for 15 years at Mystic Seaport Museum. In 2002, she became the Executive Director of the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.  Vicki writes, "The PNC is more than social work - half of what the PNC does is act as a senior center for two states and three towns. It's very rewarding work."  She is also the "Queen Mum" of the Red Hat Rovers, an official chapter of the Red Hat Society, which boasts over 100 members all age 55 and up to 90.  She serves on the Board of Trustees of Pine Point School, an independent school in Stonington, CT, the board of TVCCA, a community action agency of CT., and on the board of the United Way of S.E. CT.  Vickie encourages Curry students to volunteer in many places and leave the world (or your town) a better place than the one you found.
1980-1989

Robert Diotalevi '81 has been Program Coordinator of Legal Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University for the past eight years. He also co-authored a text book entitled The Florida Paralegal, which will be published by Cengage Learning. The book serves as a reference for essential information for both legal students and practicing paralegals. Dr. Diotalevi is a member of the Florida and Massachusetts bars and presents at national and regional law-related conferences around the country.


Michael Wallace '82 and his wife, Katie, welcomed their son, Robert Michael Wallace, on January 27, 2009. He was born at 12:27 p.m. and weighed 10 lbs. 0.5 oz. at birth.

Michelle "Bitsy" (De Binder) O'Brien '83 has been employed at the Pediatric Branch of the National Cancer Institute for 20 years. She has been a research nurse for the last 17 years, coordinating investigational drug clinical trials for children with cancer. This past year Michelle was part of a team that received the NCI Directors award for the development of a life saving drug to treat kidney failure caused by the chemotherapy drug methotrexate. The drug, Voraxace, has been transferred to a commercial partner and is in the final states of FDA approval. Michelle lives in Olney, MD with her husband, Tom, and four sons, Todd (18), Chris (17), Brett (13) and Will (10).

James Stapleton '85 has two children.  A daughter, Tess, is 16 and son, David, is 13. They both play in the ODP soccer program. James has been the Men's Basketball Coach at  Massasoit Community College for  eight years and has won three state titles and over 70 percent of games played.


Heather (Holm) Waite '85 currently resides in Walpole, MA with her husband, David, and two children, Brooke (17) and Corey (13). She is very involved in fundraising for her town and local schools.

After several years in public relations and radio, Joe Catalano '86 has founded an audio only, live morning news and information program that is broadcast over the Community Bulletin Board on Quincy Access Television in Quincy, MA. He hopes to expand the program to QATV's website. He assists with other QATV programs and has learned a great deal about video production. He writes, "This is a great opportunity to do what I enjoy and learn new skills."

Anton Errington-Wood '86 is living in Sunny Perth, Western Australia, married to Laura and lives with his daughter, Xuxu , whose name means "a thing of beauty" in Mandarin. He works in advertising and his job takes him around Australia and S.E.Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and China). He writes, "I miss good bagels and all the Boston sports teams and fall foliage but console myself with the nice beaches, "barbies" and wine we have here!"


Jonathan Lazar '86 lives in Needham, MA with his wife, Maria, and two children, Jaclyn (19) and Evan (16).

Julie Basile '87 moved to Naples, FL in 2001 and received her MS in Healthcare Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2007.


1990-1999

Daniel Theobald '92 is an Associate Lecturer at the College and a Teacher Naturalist at the MassAudobon Wildlife Sanctuary in Sharon, MA. He is will begin working on his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology at UMass-Boston this September. He lives with his wife, Merrill (Ecker) Theobald '94, in Canton, MA.

Robyn (Savage) Jaffee '96 and her husband, Scott, live in Miami with their son, Zachary (3) and daughter, Lily (18 months). Robyn works part time in retail sales.


(Chevalier) Daniel C. Boyer '97 will have a gouache, "The Prom" (after Matt Groeninf), in the group exhibition, North of the 45th Parallel at the DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University through July 3, 2009. Another gouache, "The Accident", won eighth prize in the 2009 Tech Arts Festival at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. He will have a mixed media drawing and painting, "Tristan & Iseult" in the Il Biennale de Arte de Milheiròs-MAIA in Portugal in September and a print of his computer graphic "The Platypus Heart Beset by Rainy Fogs Drowns the Wolverine's Expectation of Townhouse Life" in "The Brooklyn Internationale" at the Museum of Computer Art in Brooklyn, New York from July 17 through August 7.

Agnelo DePina '97, a.k.a.  LTC (Lightening the Cape Verdean), wrote and produced his first hip-hop album, My Turn to Shine, which was released on the independent label 7CIS in November 2008. Agnelo has interned and worked as a DJ for several local radio stations and spun in dance clubs for more than 15 years. He also holds a master's degree in Internet Communications from Suffolk University.

Adam Rothenberg '98 works as an Office Manager at Spotco, one of the top theatrical ad agencies in New York. He also host a blog called "Adaumbelle's Quest" where he ask some of his favorite actors, comedians, and musicians, "ten everyday burning questions others are too afraid to ask, but secretly want to know."  Some past and upcoming participants include: Jeff Bowen (from Broadway's Title of Show), William F. Brown (libretto for Broadway's The Wiz), Charles Busch (Tony Award Nominee for his play The Tale of The Allergist's Wife), Gavin Creel (Two-Time Tony Award Nominee for Best Actor in a Musical for Thoroughly Modern Millie and Hair), Wendy Liebman (award winning comedienne), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Tony Award Nominee as the original Mimi in Broadway's Rent ).

Anthony Bushu '99 was accepted to Suffolk University's Global MBA program and will start in Fall 2009.  He also owns his own entertainment company, The Massive Entertainment Group, and currently lives in Medford with his wife and daughter.

Juan Rivera '99 spent the last several years working security for the New England Patriots under Team Ops, a corporation created by Bob Kraft. He took a new position within the Kraft Group upon the opening of the CBS Scene restaurant at Patriot Place. He recently became engaged to Sarah Sevieri of Stoughton and has a three-year-old daughter, Mia Victoria.


2000-2009

Robert DeMarco '01 and his wife of two years recently purchased their first home in Winthrop, MA.

John Brock '02 is going into his third season working with the football program at West Point. He was recently moved from Director of Player Personnel to Assistant Linebacker Coach and Head JV Football coach.

Kimball Stanwood '02 and his wife welcomed a daughter, Madelyn May Stanwood, on February 26, 2009.


Sherri (Rullie) Brown '04 and husband, Kevin, were married on November 8, 2008. She has been general manager of a number of Qdoba locations for several years and has plans to move up in the company. Her husband works as regional manager and training director for Chair 5.

Mark Cilibrasi '04 and Stephanie (Sigler) Cilibrasi '04 bought their first house in November 2008 and are now living in Sterling, MA.


Kate McMackin '04 was recently promoted from Staff Therapist to Clinical Supervisor at South Bay Mental Health in Plymouth, MA. She runs a DYS substance abuse/anger management group and with her promotion will also be supervising other therapists.


Christina (Mello) Merrill '06 was married on Valentine's Day 2009. She resides with her husband in the Hanson, MA home they purchased in summer of 2008.

Joseph Morabito '06 has completed the NBC Page Program in Burbank, California. After a year of giving NBC studio tours, working on The Tonight Show, Ellen and Last Call with Carson Daley, he has moved back to New York to take part in a new live studio talk show for MTV premiering June 2009. Joseph recently worked on the Sylvester Stallone film, The Expendables, due out in 2010. He has also been accepted into the Academy of Television Arts and Science!


Jillian DeAngelis '08 is currently employed in the cardiothoracic transplant ICU at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Second Lt. Andrew Gosselin '09 was Commissioned as a Marine officer on the USS Constitution in Boston on May 9, 2009.  Drew had served four years in the Marines prior to coming to Curry College and completed Officers Candidate School last summer.
