1950-1959

1950s alumni, send us your news!

1960-1969

Jane (Grossman) Barr '68 retired last year and is enjoying life by travelling and volunteering.

Toby Marxuach-Gusciora '68 is presently working at De Witt Clinton High School as a SETTS teacher. In addition, she teaches an elective in conflict resolution and runs a peer mediator program for the school. She also designed a SLC entitled, "Future Educators", which is going into its fifth year.

1970-1979

George Dudasik '73 decided to open his own business after 20 years as an actor, involved in over 150 TV commercials.  His company, Preferred Promotional Products, started in 2009. George may return to acting on a part-time basis. "Once it's in your blood it's hard to stop," he wrote.


1980-1989

Bob Diotalevi '81 was selected to serve on the Board of Visitors at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL. There he mentors law students and also served on the school's panel of judges for the Moot Court competition in April. He serves the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE) Technology Committee and has had an article published in their Paralegal Educator in April 2009. Bob was featured in Gulfshore Business Magazine and will serve as a guest speaker at the Southwest Florida Regents Council DAR Constitution Week luncheon this year.

Samuel Marrone '82 lives in South Boston and manages a fitness center as a program director with the Boston Public Health Commission's Community Initiatives Department. He came to this position six years ago, after many years working in the development/fundraising industry. He remembers his Curry years fondly and looks forward to a 30th reunion in 2012.

Michael Wallace '82 and his wife, Katie, have a one-year-old son, Robert Michael Wallace. Michael says, "He has eight teeth, weighs 30 pounds and is a smart little man." His wife is currently working on her degree in Psychology through Curry's Division of Continuing Education.

Craig Sutton '85 has been a DJ for many years, including on air at WMLN 91.5, and owns a boutique event entertainment company that provides services for corporate and social events around New England.

Heather Waite '85 lives in Walpole with her husband, David, and her two children.  Brooke, 18, is entering her freshman year at Loyola University and Corey, 14, is entering his freshman year of high school.

Miriam Buttrick '87 will celebrate her third wedding anniversary in August. Her son will "carry on the legacy" when he enters his freshman year at Curry in September.  Her daughters will enter seventh and ninth grades in the fall. Miriam is proud to be the parent of a Curry student and looks forward to new beginnings for all three of her children.



1990-1999

Mark Snyder '91 continues to own and operate the family business, Snyder Jewelers in Weymouth. The store has moved to the old Columbian Square fire station after 18 years in its former location. Mark is ecstatic to own such a wonderful piece of Weymouth history and plans to keep some of the fire house feel in the new design. The new Snyder's Jewelers had a "soft" opening on March 16, 2010 and an official grand opening is being planned.

Shannon (Carney) Tarr '92 and her husband, former Curry student Tommy Tarr, have been married since 1994. They have three daughters, aged 11, 12 and 13 years. The Tarrs own and run a landscaping company and Tommy also works full time at a local sheriff's department near their home in New Hampshire.

Joshua Burnie '96 has been promoted to Vice President at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

Danielle (Monticone) Scmulen '96 and Brian Schmulen '97 welcomed their third child, Madison Lilly, on July 15, 2009. She joined big brother, Brice, who is six, and big sister Ella, who is three. The Schmulens are happily living in Houston, TX.

(Chevalier) Daniel C. Boyer '97 will have a drawing, Glory of the Empire of the Pitch, included in the Third Biennial of Brazilian Arts in Brussels in September 2011. He also had two gouaches in the Festival of Arts Dakar 2010 in Senegal this August.

2000-2010

Melissa (Stokes) McComas '00 graduated on May 8, 2010 with a Master of Arts in Information and Library Science from the University of South Florida.

Rob DeMarco '02 and his wife, Karen, welcomed their first child, Hailey Joy, on May 12, 2010.

Jennifer (Mackenzie) Deneault '03 and her husband, Mike, welcomed their son, Noah Michael, on July 21, 2010. He was 8 lbs., 2oz. and 21 inches long.

Lorrie (Losanno) Murphy '03 and Daniel Murphy '02 welcomed their first child, Samantha, on May 30, 2010.

Nicole Asseline '04 recently graduated from George Mason University with a Master of Arts Management degree. She continues to work in defense contracting in Washington, DC.

Lisa Irving '04 recently graduated from Wheelock College with a Master of Social Work degree. She will be working with United Cerebral Palsy of Metro Boston.

Katie McMakin '04 works for South Bay Mental Health as a Clinical Director in South Yarmouth. She continues to work with a handful of adolescent clients, including running a substance abuse/anger management group for the Department of Youth Services in Bourne. She is studying for her licensure test to get her MA license in Mental Health Counseling and loves her job and life.

Katherine (Kopplin) Walsh '04 was married to Michael Walsh on July 13, 2008


Michael Arienti '05 accepted a position as a Financial Assistant in mid-January. He works at a consulting firm near his home.

Matthew Bailey '05 graduated Emerson College with his Master of Arts in Communication Management on May 17, 2010.

Molly Bergeron '05 recently launched her own photography business, Molly Anne Photography. She specializes in wedding and portrait photography.

Brence Blair '05 has spent the past three and a half years studying and working in China. He has completed one year of formal Chinese language study at Jinan University and works full time teach post-graduate structural and civil engineers written and spoken English at Jianzhu (Construction) University. In his spare time he is an assistant basketball coach with Five Start Basketball Camp. Brence writes, "Every day here is amazingly awesome!"


Lindsey Crowell '05 is living in Plainsboro, NJ and working as a nanny. She has been with the same family for the past year and loves her job.


Douglas Ago '06 recently accepted a job with medical equipment manufacturer Smith & Nephew, where he liaises with international clients to ensure satisfaction with their products. He recently became engaged to his high school sweetheart and plans to marry in June 2011.

Jay Lukoff '06 is graduating from UMass Dartmouth School of Law in May 2010. He plans to take the Massachusetts bar exam in July and hopes to practice in New Bedford, MA. Jay credits his studies as a Communications major at Curry with helping him to speak in large classes and brief cases in courtrooms.

Joseph Morabito '06 has been promoted to Production Coordinator on NBC's game show, Minute to Win It. He is also returning to Fox Sports for MLB studio coverage and will be joining SPEED Network to coordinate and assistant direct on a new NASCAR coverage project.

Colleen Smith '06 recently accepted a position with Hanover Public Schools as their media access specialist. She will be setting up and running the new local public access cable station for the town of Hanover, as well as providing video production training to the community.


Dawn Teixeira-Badger '06 is currently working as an RN after graduating from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions in 2009. She is very happy with her new career. She married her long time love, Tommy Badger. Their beautiful son, Donavin, was born sleeping on September 9, 2009 and will forever be in their hearts. Dawn and her husband look forward to expanding their family and possibly relocating.

Kerri Abate '07 is continuing her martial arts studies and earned her black/brown belt in March 2010. She is also excited to become an aunt soon.

Matt Sherman '07 was recently hired by the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club to scout the West Coast. He will assist in finding players for the MLB draft and will have MLB coverage during the summer.

Meghan Tilley '08 and Louis Hoey became engaged in July 2010. They plan to wed in 2012.


Erica Warren '08 and Zacary Oberman '06 are engaged. An October 2010 wedding is planned in Connecticut.


James Bartelle '09 and Fabiola Robert '09 were married on March 21, 2010.

Paul Varga '09 was hired in April 2010 to host the WSLP morning show at 93.3 WSLP in Lake Placid, NY. He is thrilled to work in such an amazing community and beautiful area as he starts his dream career.

Michael Bosco '09 recently became the Dean of Admissions at the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston. He had previously been the Manager of Enrollment Management and Marketing Operations at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA.

Lynne Murray '09 works as a freelance writer for an online newspaper on Long Island. She recently was asked by a local television studio to cover documentary films made about a high profile local hate crime. Lynne writes, "It was a tragic event to cover, but the writing experience was invaluable to me."

Stacie Ross '09 moved to Fayetteville, NC to pursue a job in the NICU.

Patrick Fitzpatrick '10 recently completed Centinel Financial Group's training program and was hired on by the group after his successful presentation of a 90-day business plan. He is in the process of building his career as a financial advisor. His first contact with Centinel was at a Curry College career fair last spring.
