As Athletic Director, Vinnie Eruzione oversees all of the Colonel’s 13 NCAA Division III sports programs - football, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s cross country, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s basketball, and ice hockey – comprised of over 300 student athletes.
A 1984 graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, Vinnie received an Economics degree and a total of eleven letters in three sports – three in football and four each in hockey and baseball.
He graduated from Winthrop High School in 1979, where he was a standout three-sport athlete for the Vikings, and is a member of the Winthrop High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He also attended one year of prep school at Phillips Andover Academy where he played one season each of football, hockey and baseball before graduating in 1980.
Prior to coming to Curry, Vinnie had a 13-year career as a public school teacher and coach working at his high school alma mater from 1985 to 1996, and at Chelsea Middle School and Thayer Academy.
Upon his appointment as Athletic Director after having served six years as associate athletic director at Curry, President Quigley remarked, “During that time, like his predecessor and colleague Steve Nelson, Vinnie has worked hard and successfully to elevate the athletic program at Curry College consistent with the NCAA Division III policy of placing the highest priority on the overall quality of the educational experience, and on the successful completion of all students’ academic programs.”
