Batchelor will begin his third season as Colonels’ head lacrosse coach in the spring of 2008.

The Colonels ended their 2007 season with a 6-10 overall record and 4-4 finish in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.  This was the most wins since the 2002 season.  Curry also defeated Roger Williams for the first time in school history with a thrilling 7-6 overtime win.  The Colonels made the conference tournament quarterfinals as the #6 seed but lost to the #3 seed Gordon College.

In his debut season he led the Colonels to a 5-11 overall record and 3-5 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference.  His team also made the post-season tournament for the first time since the 2002 season.

Batchelor served as the first assistant and then interim head lacrosse coach at Wheaton College (Mass.) during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.  In 2004, he helped guide the Lyons to a program-best 10-5 record and a berth in the ECAC Division III New England Tournament.

In 2005, Batchelor stepped in as interim head coach two weeks prior to the start of the season.  During that time, he was able to fulfill all head coaching duties including: budgeting, scheduling, practice planning, game planning, scouting, recruiting and fundraising.  In addition, he was responsible for all offensive and defensive preparation.  Batchelor also established and ran Wheaton’s first-ever youth lacrosse clinic, and served as a fundraiser for the program’s spring break trip to Orlando, Florida.

Batchelor graduated from Endicott College in 2003 with Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management.  He was a four-year letter winner on the Power Gulls’ men’s lacrosse squad, playing as a midfielder. As a sophomore, Batchelor helped guide Endicott to its first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference title and NCAA Tournament berth. As a senior, he led the Gulls to the ECAC Division III New England championship game.

A resident of Billerica, Mass., he is in the process of earning a Master’s degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater State College.
