Richard Murray enters his first season as both the women’s and men’s tennis coach in 2008. He is a 1971 graduate of Bridgewater State College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, and a 1996 graduate of Boston College where he received his Masters.

Murray has been involved with coaching tennis since 2000. He was the head coach of Sacred Heart High School in 2000, the assistant men’s and women’s coach at Wheaton College from 2001-2005, the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s tennis team at Stonehill from 2005-2007 and last year was the assistant for just the men’s team at Stonehill. 

Murray retired from the Department of Corrections for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts after a22-year career.  He resides in Cohasset, Mass. with his wife Deborah. He also has a daughter Zoe who is 22 years old and a son Zachary who is 19 years old.
