Roberts will lead the Colonels' women's lacrosse program for an eighth season in 2008. Her coaching record at Curry in seven years is 71-48 and her record at New England College over three years was 30-18. In ten years, Roberts has an overall record of 101-66 with a .579 winning percentage.
In 2007 Curry ended their season with a 15-6 overall record and 7-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Colonels had the most wins and CCC wins in a season. It was also the highest finish in the conference (2nd). Curry advanced to the ECAC Finals for the second-consecutive year.
The Colonel’s had a very successful campaign in 2006. Curry ended their season with an impressive 13-7 record, the second best in the programs history. The Colonels also played in two championship games. They lost to Endicott College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference game and then lost to conference rival Roger Williams in the ECAC Championship.
Her Colonels won a school-record 14 games during the 2004 campaign. Curry then won its first ever Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament game in lacrosse, an 11-10 quarterfinal round overtime thriller against Salve Regina. After a hard-fought 7-6 loss to eventual champions New England College in the conference semi-finals, Roberts' squad went on to post the school's first ECAC Division III Tournament win in lacrosse, a dramatic 15-14 overtime victory at UMass Dartmouth.
During her debut season and Curry’s first year of varsity competition, Roberts’ squad won four of its first eight games to open the 2001 campaign.
In 2002, Roberts led her team to a 9-6 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference play. At season’s end, she was deservedly named as CCC “Coach of the Year.” It marked the second time in five years that two different conferences had selected Roberts for that honor.
A native of Cape Cod, she graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School in 1992, then spent the next eight years in Henniker, New Hampshire. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from New England College in 1997, and was a standout four-year, two-sport athlete for the Pilgrims.
In 1994 and 1995, she was a soccer team co-captain and Commonwealth Coast Conference all-star. In 1996 and 1997, she was a lacrosse team co-captain and a member of the 1997 New England National Team.
Roberts spent four seasons (1996-99) as the assistant women's soccer coach at NEC, then upon graduation, took over the school's women's lacrosse team. In her rookie season, she led the Pilgrims to the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) championship and was subsequently named 1998 NEWLA "Coach of the Year." Her 1999 and 2000 squads also participated in the NEWLA playoffs.
In addition to her head coaching duties, Roberts also works in the Curry Athletic Department as assistant women's soccer coach and assistant sports information director.
