On March 17, 2008, second-year Men's Tennis Head Coach Seth Walrath was also appointed as the Colonels' new women's tennis head coach. Walrath had previously been named as Curry’s men’s tennis coach on October 17, 2006. In his debut season as men's coach in 2007, he led the Colonels to 6-9 overall record and a 3-5 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). His squad qualified as the #5 seed in the CCC Tournament and fell 5-4 in the conference quarterfinals at #4 Endicott.

Walrath graduated from Cortland (N.Y.) High School in 1996, then joined the Army National Guard. During the spring of 1997, he attended Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York, where he helped lead the Lazers’ men’s tennis squad to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Walrath subsequently enlisted full-time in the U.S. Army, where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Infantry stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During the course of his duties, Walrath received both the NATO Ribbon and the Overseas Ribbon.

Shortly after completing his Army commitment in 1999, Walrath enrolled at Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in December 2004.

Walrath has served in a number of tennis positions since the summer of 2003, starting as director of tennis for the Shippensburg Parks and Recreation Department. He went on to work as a professional instructor at a tennis club in Zulinger, Pennsylvania and as the head tennis pro at a country club in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Walrath’s only previous collegiate experience came at his alma mater, where he served as Shippensburg’s assistant women’s tennis coach in 2005.

Currently, he works full-time as an instructor at The Weymouth Club in Weymouth, Massachusetts and also serves as head pro director at Thayer Academy’s summer tennis camp.

Walrath is a member of both the Professional Tennis Registry and the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA). He and his wife Sarah currently reside in Quincy, Massachusetts.
