Charles Towle joined the Curry faculty in 1983. He maintains an active research program investigating the population genetics of marine organisms and is the author of four papers in this speciality. He is involved in environmental consulting recently having completed a year-long survey of a salt marsh in Hingham, MA. He is the recipient of Curry’s AY 2000 Excellence in Teaching Award. Professor Towle is also trained as a classical musician, and has performed in a number of community orchestras. His hobbies include camping, canoeing, fly-fishing and the building of stringed musical instruments.
