Students pose for a photo at Curry College Commencement

At Curry College, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging are values that we strive to embed into the fabric of all that we do as a community. We practice these values by supporting our students with building understanding across differences and commonalities as we believe it is essential to creating an equitable and welcoming environment for exploration and learning; as well as personal and professional growth.

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion mission is to cultivate an inclusive and accessible environment where systemically minoritized and marginalized students can have the freedom to practice their values, show up as their authentic selves and flourish. The ODI aims to achieve its mission through offering community social justice education, student-centered programming and cross-community collaboration. The ODI serves students by:

  1. Offering a physical Diversity Center space where students can be in community, receive resources and learn
  2. Delivering/supporting programs that center students’ needs holistically
  3. Advocating for our systemically minoritized and marginalized students by amplifying their needs and voices in all decision-making processes.

Our vision is to facilitate a learning community that nurtures the capacity of people to engage with one another and their environment in a manner that supports and respects the inherent dignity and worth of all.
