“Boston is definitely a great place to be if you're a college student because there's just so much to do. You never really run out of activities or sporting events to attend.”

Debra Casallas - Communication
After eleven years of running an in-home family child care business, Debra Casallas was ready to open a whole new chapter in her life.
"As my children got older I began to think about 'what's next?' I wanted to finish the degree I had started so long ago, to focus on me."
"My husband graduated from Curry in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and he had a very positive experience. But my primary reason for choosing Curry was convenience. Speaking practically, returning to school needed to be 'doable' for me. Curry offers a wide variety of courses at times that are suitable to working parents and that worked for me."
Curry's caring, friendly faculty and staff reassured Debra that she was making the right decision. "What made me feel confident in my decision to attend Curry was the warm and supportive way in which I was greeted by Steven Belaief, the Senior Director of Continuing Education at the Milton Campus. I had been out of the 'education loop' for a long time but Steve put my mind at ease and guided me though the process. I have also made many wonderful connections and my professors have helped me focus on the many possibilities- rather than the obstacles."
"As I approach 40, I'm excited and scared at the thought of changing paths, but life requires a little bravery. I'm grateful for this valuable opportunity to re-define myself and what I have to offer. I wish everyone could take advantage of this opportunity. Obtaining my Communication degree from Curry was worth every penny."
