Brittany Howe '12 - Psychology

Once Brittany Howe '12 found Curry College, the transfer student from Braintree, MA immediately knew it was where she belonged.

"I think a lot of students get really scared when it comes to transferring just because they don't know if their credits are going to actually transfer over. But I met with the people in the registrar's office at Curry and they were so helpful, they were so easy to work with."

"I was so involved here - I was a Student Ambassador, leading tours, and was a Psychology major. Since you don't have to declare a major until the end of your sophomore year, I had time to decide what I wanted to do. At the same time, I wasn't wasting time, since I was taking the core classes needed to fulfill Curry's requirements."

Howe was also a commuter student, and found that she was just as much a part of the Curry community as her classmates who lived here.

"I expanded my horizons beyond campus at Curry. Through the Psychology program, I got the opportunity to work in Braintree alongside the school psychologist at South Middle School, which was amazing. I hope to one day become a school psychologist and help kids in need to find their way."
