*Curry College Radio, WMLN-FM, will begin its summer hours on Monday, May 7, 2012 and will continue through September 12, 2012. Broadcast hours during this period will be 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. daily (Sun-Sat).
WMLN-FM 91.5, an award winning non-commercial radio station, is operated by Curry students under the supervision of the faculty director of broadcasting. Students are assigned various roles at the radio station early in their academic careers and first year students are often eligible for and assigned on-air duties. WMLN-FM is a co-curricular part of the Communication Department.
Licensed by the Federal Communications Commission on April 1, 1975, WMLN-FM operates on an assigned frequency of 91.5 MHz with a power of 172 watts. Broadcasting continuously throughout the year, WMLN serves a potential audience of 250,000 within a 40-mile radius on Boston's South Shore. Most programs are produced by radio station students who earn credit for their participation.
WMLN-FM has won Massachusetts Associated Press Broadcasters (AP) awards for its sports and news programs for the past 16 years.
