The week of October 6, 2013 is National Coming Out Week for the LGBTQ community. In recognition, Curry College's Gay-Straight Alliance has planned events that the entire campus community can enjoy, to celebrate and learn more about the LGBTQ community and the coming out process.
LGBTQ Rights - facilitated discussion
Wednesday, October 9
Hafer, Parents Lounge
Faculty, staff, and outside sources will lead discussion about the differences in LGBTQ rights around the world, and right here in the United States. All are welcome to participate in, or just listen to, this educational discussion.
Coming Out Day Coloring
Thursday, October 10
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Student Center Lobby
Color a section of our rainbow poster, and write an inspirational message to an LGBT or questioning student. "Coming out" can be an incredibly difficult process, and these positive messages from our community can make a difference in someone's life!
