Dr. Jessica Fry is an Associate Professor of Biology.  Dr. Fry completed her postdoctoral training at the Boston University School of Medicine, where she taught in the Biomedical Laboratory and Clinical Sciences program and developed a research program studying the role of the enzyme Sirtuin-1 in the pathogenesis of arterial stiffness, hypertension, and related cardiovascular disease.  She is broadly trained in physiology and molecular and cellular biology, with an S.B in Biology from MIT and a Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology through the Harvard Medical School Biological and Biomedical Sciences Program.  Her graduate work focused on the effects of matrix remodeling protein ADAM-9 isoforms on breast cancer cell migration.  She draws on all of this experience to teach Introduction to Molecules and Cells, Cell Biology, Advanced Physiology, Human Disease and Animal Behavior, and leads undergraduate research programs stemming from her previous work in oxidant-mediated signaling, breast cancer cell migration, and new interests in G-Protein coupled receptor signaling and estrogen remediation.  Dr. Fry is also a certified dog trainer and the President of the New England Dog Training Club, based in Cambridge.
